I love to read, and am always looking for new books. Even though I don't participate much, I love discussions about books!

SPOILER ALERT!
Graceling - Kristin Cashore This was an excellent book. All the characters were likable or interesting, and even though I felt like this book had too much description at times, in the end, I think it was the perfect amount. Ultimately, this wasn't a story about Katsa defeating Leck, it was about Katsa learning about herself and her grace. I love her discovery about her grace, her trek through the mountains with Bitterblue, and her relationship with Po. The development of Po and Katsa's friendship and relationship was extremely realistic to me. And even though I just wanted to find out what happened (which meant that the description sometimes seemed excessive), I think the way Cashore wrote this book made it more realistic. I also think that Katsa was an excellent, atypical heroine. It seems like most heroines in this type of book want to marry or have a family, and I like Katsa's dedication to what she wants even in the face of other people's disapproval. I can't wait to read Fire.
